BFCST Aims and Objectives

BFCST aims to continue to work closely with Barnsley FC to improve the match day experience for everyone attending Oakwell and to be a regular voice for supporters.

We try and talk to the football club regularly to discuss topics relating to ticketing policies, ongoing club communications, improved experiences for disabled fans, and many more. In addition we strive to hold regular meetings with the management and board of Barnsley FC, players past and present, and anything else that might benefit the Barnsley FC community.

For over six years we’ve been involved in the management of Redfearn’s Bar, the match day venue for home supporters. Originally homed in the O’Zone room in the South Stand, since 2019 and prior to the pandemic, we’ve been an integral part of the Fan Zone outside the East Stand.

Everything the Trust works on is designed to help to strengthen the links between both the Trust, the football club and the community. As part of this, we are keen to encourage juniors to come along to football matches and have been instrumental in various initiatives around the family zone, the flag bearers and mascots.

We also work at all levels to improve the experiences of football fans, from a local level through to national issues through our membership of the Football Supporters Federation (FSF) and Supporters Direct. We regularly attend meetings and read reports on issues that effect all football clubs, of all levels, and ensure we’re lobbying on behalf of all Barnsley FC Supporters and their best interests.
