BFCST Update: Exeter Postponement
Now more than ever, due to the tough economic times many people are facing, football should be looking out for supporters.
Sadly, what Barnsley Football Club supporters experienced yesterday with the late cancellation of the Exeter game, was an avoidable scenario of being impacted financially by poor decision making and an unclear process and protocol around the postponement of football matches.
As a result, along with Barnsley Football Club, we are writing to the EFL to seek further clarity on the decision making process that led to the conclusion of the game being postponed, and what can be done in the future to avoid such situations.
This was something outside of the club’s control, so we welcome the initial announcement of a free to attend exclusive intra-squad friendly at Oakwell, and encourage as many supporters as possible to take advantage of this incentive. We look forward to further announcements specific to those supporters impacted yesterday and the re-arranged game in Exeter.

BFCST are now in conversations with the FSA, Exeter Supporters’ Trust and other fan groups across the country, to bring more attention to what happened yesterday and demand that a better process is put in place to stop this happening to any football supporter at any club.
An update will be published once more info is released. In the meantime we would like to thank all supporters for their continued support this season – especially those left frustrated by last night’s postponement.
